Omens from the Spring Equinox 2013 Service
Omen taken by Skip using the oghams. 25 degrees F for the rite.
Pre-ritual question was - What will this ritual bring us?
The pre-ritual omen was Uilleann, the Honeysuckle, binding things together.
Main question asked was - What lessons shall be worked on for the next six weeks?
From the Ancestors, we drew Muin, the Vine. This talks to us prophecy and inhibitions of lack of them.
From the Spirits of Nature, we drew Ailm, the Silver Fir. This tells us to take the long view.
From the Shinning Ones, we drew Eadhadh, the Aspen. This talks to us of the power of communication.
After ritual omen was Onn, the Gorse. This talks to us about collecting things to us.
Overall, the omens are good and the Kindreds tell us to work on the lessons of using the long view and to think on how the prophecies can be communicated to the community.
