Omens from the Spring Equinox 2016 Service
Omen taken by Skip using the tree oghams.
Question asked was - What lessons shall be worked on for the next six weeks?
The pre-ritual omen was the Ivy - inner work. We need to look within for our answers.
From the Ancestors, we drew Alder - guidance. We will find the guidance we need.
From the Spirits of Nature, we drew first the modifier for the Sea, followed by White Poplar. The Sea gives us the buoyancy to float above our troubles.
From the Shinning Ones, we drew first the modifier for the Land, followed by Honeysuckle. The land tells us to look to the binding of the Grove to our community, the land, and ADF.
After ritual omen was Gooseberry - beloved of the Nature Spirits.
Overall, the omens are good. This is the first time I can remember that we have drawn two modifiers and three Forfeda in the same rite! Looking within ourselves, we find the guidance and the sure knowledge we can float above any problems we find, and the Spirits of nature remind us to bind ourselves to our community, the land, and ADF!
